Finally finished a painting from a canoeing trip I took in July on the Saranac Lake Chain. The water was smooth like glass. I absolutely loved capturing the patterns of the water. Wonderful Day Trip.

This painting of a bay in Lake George is the start of a series of paintings that I will be doing of the lake and its surroundings. Lake George is known
to be the "Queen of American Lakes." The lake is more than 45 miles long and is the largest lake in the Adirondacks.

I finally finished the Bouquet River Banks! The final stages of this painting was adding layers of detail, sometimes working wet into wet or allowing a layer to dry, then adding to the top of the dried layer.

I have been very busy with painting some new work for my upcoming show at the Saratoga Public Library in February. I also am in the process of finishing up a commissioned painting. It is hard to paint a picture twice, the challenge becomes coping instead of the inspiration that was first felt. There is also a internal dialog going on in your head as to how did I do that.
